Try FilePermits on a sample permit form

Before you start

FilePermits installed in Google Chrome and signed in. Reading a job and mapping a new page use your plan, so the company needs an active plan or pilot.
Optional: fill in your company profile on the Profile tab so the contractor and license fields fill too. Without it, FilePermits lists them as missing.

Fill the sample form

Open the sample permit form in a tab, then click the FilePermits icon in Chrome's toolbar to open the side panel.
On the Fill tab, click Enable FilePermits on filepermits.com and allow access. FilePermits reads and fills pages only on sites you enable.
On the Jobs tab, paste the sample job below and click Parse job. Check the job, then click Save & set active.
Back on the Fill tab, click Fill page. The first time FilePermits sees a page it maps the page's fields to your job, which takes a few seconds. Review the suggested matches and click Save & fill.
Filled fields are outlined in green. Check them, click Continue Application on the form, and click Fill page again on the next step.
Step 4, Review & pay, asks for a certification and signature, a portal password, a file upload, card and bank details and a CAPTCHA. FilePermits fills none of them and never submits the application; those are always yours to do.

Sample job

A made-up furnace and air-conditioner replacement. Select the text and copy it into the Jobs tab.

The sample form is part of this website, not a city's, and it never submits anything. The people, addresses and numbers in the sample job are made up. The Privacy Policy explains what the extension sends when it reads a job or maps a page.
